After a standout season with Atromitos Athens, Burkinabè midfielder Ismahila Ouédraogo is set to take a giant leap forward in his career. Far from the streets of Athens, his next adventure looks destined for Denmark.

According to AfricaFoot, Ismahila Ouédraogo is preparing to leave Greek club Atromitos and sign in Denmark. The Burkinabè midfielder is expected to join Odense Boldklub (OB).

A verbal agreement has been reached between the Stallion's camp and the Danish top-flight club, with negotiations well advanced between the two sides. OB has tabled an offer close to one million euros to the Greek capital club for the services of the 25-year-old, whose current contract runs until 2027. Should the deal go through on these financial terms, the Burkinabè would become Atromitos Athens' record sale. His market value stands at 700,000 euros, according to the Transfer Market platform.

These qualities earned him the nickname Ngolo Kanté during his time at AS Douanes in the Burkina Faso league between 2018 and 2021.
