Transfer news LIVE!
The first summer window has closed, ahead of the Club World Cup, and with it brought a number of huge deals confirmed, yet more set to be announced, and a few which as yet failed to materialise. Chelsea were busy, with Mamadou Sarr announced, but deals for both Mike Maignan and Jamie Gittens were left on the negotiation table until the window reopens next week.
Arsenal were under no time constraints to get deals over the line and remain in talks with RB Leipzig over Benjamin Sesko, having seemingly gone cold on Viktor Gyokores. Martin Zubimendi will join on July 1 for £59million, with a medical imminent. Manchester City confirmed Rayan Cherki’s arrival and Tijjani Reijnders will be confirmed today.
Manchester United are confident that Tottenham will not hijack their interest in Bryan Mbeumo, despite Brentford boss Thomas Frank’s imminent appointment by Spurs. Viktor Osimhen and Gyokeres are also targets for Ruben Amorim. Liverpool have agreed a staggering British record fee worth £127m for Florian Wirtz, who will now undergo a medical. Milos Kerkez will follow him through the Anfield entrance gate for around £45m. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!
