The bitter semi-final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain will apparently not fundamentally change FC Bayern’s transfer strategy. Despite the disappointment in the Champions League, the Munich club are not planning any major personnel changes in the summer, according to Sky. Instead, the record champions are continuing to pursue a clearly defined course in their squad planning
As Sky reports, the signing of another attacking player for the left flank remains Bayern’s top priority, with the club still looking for a „challenger“ for Luis Díaz
Although the Colombian impressed with strong performances in his first season in Munich, those responsible still see a need internally to intensify the competition on the left flank
The Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain in particular is said to have clearly shown once again how important additional quality and variability are in the final third. Munich therefore want to make targeted additions to their already strong attack without initiating a complete shake-up
According to Sky, the second priority is the signing of a new midfielder, with Bayern apparently looking for a flexible profile in the six or eight – also in view of the departure of Leon Goretzka
According to the report, Kennet Eichhorn remains the preferred solution, with the central midfielder apparently seen internally as the ideal addition to the center

What is particularly interesting is which positions do not appear to be a high priority at FC Bayern at the moment. According to Sky, the Munich club are not currently planning any major investments in either the central defense or full-back positions
This comes as something of a surprise, given the defensive problems that were revealed on several occasions against PSG, but internally there still seems to be great confidence in the existing players and the development under Vincent Kompany
The search for a backup striker does not appear to be the focus either, with Serge Gnabry instead being trusted internally to take on this role on a situational basis in future
Added to this is the great flexibility in the attacking center, with Jamal Musiala and top talent Lennart Karl already giving Munich several options behind Harry Kane
FC Bayern are clearly not planning a hectic summer of transfers – even after missing out on the Champions League final – but are instead continuing to focus on targeted reinforcements and optimizing the existing squad in specific areas
The statements made by those responsible after the PSG exit in particular had recently shown that there is still great internal confidence in the quality of the team and the path taken under Vincent Kompany.
