After his contract with Metz expired on June 30, Ousmane Ba will ultimately remain with Les Grenats. The Senegalese goalkeeper has just signed a new two-year deal.
The bottom side of Ligue 1 announced the news in a statement published on its official website: "Originally under contract with Les Grenats until June 2025, the Senegalese shot-stopper had continued to train daily with the first team since the start of the summer," the statement reads.
"This Wednesday, the Rufisque native signed a two-year contract extension. He is now tied to the club with the Croix de Lorraine until June 2027," the club added.
The U23 international goalkeeper did not hide his delight at extending his contract: "I'm truly very happy to continue my journey with FC Metz. I'm deeply attached to this club and I intend to show the management that they are right to place their trust in me. I'm determined to succeed wearing the Grenat shirt."
Developed at Génération Foot, Ousmane Ba joined Metz in 2020. A year later, he became part of the first team. He has since had two loan spells, at SO Cholet and then at RFC Seraing in Belgium.
