Trent Alexander-Arnold is currently playing his first tournament with Real Madrid, and in their third Club World Cup match against Austria's RB Salzburg, which ended 3-0 for the Spanish side.
The English right-back was in fine form in their last group stage match before they officially qualified for the last eight of the tournament, and he also helped Xabi Alonso's team to look completely different from the first two games against Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal and Mexico's Pachuca, and Real Madrid seem to have entered the championship race in an upward spiral.
After the team's impressive performance against Salzburg in the final Group H match of the group stage, the Englishman was interviewed by DAZN, the exclusive broadcaster of the tournament. Speaking about his team's performance in the tournament so far and in this match in particular, Arnold praised his teammates:
He has given me difficult matches… It’s good that it happens to others now.
Saying about Vinicius.
Speaking of Bellingham, the Englishman said:
As I said about Jude, he’s a massive player for the team. He’s shown again that he’s world-class for many years. He’s one of the best players in the world, so it’s amazing to be surrounded by these players.

Learning the language was hardest at first. The adjustment period is now over, now it’s time to move up a level. Everyone’s got to get used to it. It worked, clearly, so that’s a good start but obviously we have a lot of work to do. It wasn’t a perfect game, but good signs. It was our best game so far as a team. It was the best game I’ve had.
Trent Alexander-Arnold said.
Xabi speaks to me a lot individually to make sure I understand everything that gets said. The meetings are in Spanish so he goes out his way and the staff go out the way to make sure I understand the game plan.
