On Thursday in the Canary Islands, the court agreed to open a trial against four former Real Madrid academy products, Juan Rodriguez, Andres Martin, Ferran Ruiz and Raul Asencio, began. They stand accused of distributing sexual content without consent, and distribution of child pornography.
That is according to Cadena Cope, who say that the all four have been required to present bonds, with the first three depositing €20k to the public office, and Asencio required to put up €15k. They have 24 hours to make the deposit, and face potential asset freezes if they do not comply.
The first three are facing charges of distribution of sexual content without consent and distribution of child pornography, with the two victims in question both pressing charges, as well as the public prosecutor. The second victim has dropped charges against Asencio, while the public prosecutor is only pursuing a distribution of sexual content without consent charge. It has been reported that Asencio made a payment and an apology to the second victim, which have been accepted. They are seeking a 2.5-year sentence against the 22-year-old Real Madrid defender, while the first victim, who was underage at the time, is seeking a four-year sentence for Asencio.

The role of the Real Madrid centre-back has allegedly been revealed, in which Asencio, knowing that one of the victims was underage, requested the video from Dominguez, and then showed the video of the sexual relations to a third party. Asencio is set to plead not guilty in court, and has defended his innocence in public. Assuring that his conscience is clear, he has said that he respects the intimacy and sexual freedom of all women. Real Madrid have not commented on the incident; the following summer after it occurred, Rodriguez, Ruiz and Martin all left the club.
