Trossard Gets 9, Zubimendi With 8 | Arsenal Players Rated In Dominant Win Vs Aston Villa

Arsenal welcomed Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Gunners made a strong start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Gabriel scored the opener for Mikel Arteta’s side in the 48th minute before Martin Zubimendi doubled his team’s advantage just four minutes later. Leandro Trossard scored Arsenal’s third goal in the 69th minute before Gabriel Jesus made it 4-0 to the Gunners just nine minutes later. Ollie Watkins grabbed a late consolation for the Villans as the North London club ended up securing a dominant 4-1 win in front of their home fans.

Raya made one solid save during the game, but would be disappointed after conceding a goal late in the game.
RB: Jurrien Timber – 7/10
He came back to defend when needed and made two decent chances going forward. Timber has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CB: William Saliba – 6.5/10
Saliba dealt with the danger when he could, but failed to keep a clean sheet tonight.
CB: Gabriel – 7.5/10
He earned possession back once and managed to score the opener in the 48th minute.

LB: Piero Hincapie – 7/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
CM: Martin Odegaard – 8/10
Odegaard was a constant menace in the final third and has got an assist to his name.
CM: Martin Zubimendi – 8/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and managed to double his team’s lead with a good finish in the 52nd minute.
CM: Mikel Merino – 7.5/10
Merino anchored the midfield well and made some good chances in the final third.
RW: Bukayo Saka – 7/10
He caught the eye at times on the right flank but failed to register a goal.
ST: Viktor Gyokeres – 6/10
Gyokeres got himself into some dangerous areas in the final third, but there was no goal for him.
LW: Leandro Trossard – 9/10
He was a constant menace on the left wing and ended the game with a goal and an assist to his name.
Substitutes:
CM: Christian Norgaard – 6/10
He added some energy to Arteta’s midfield.
LB: Myles Lewis-Skelly – 6/10
Lewis-Skelly was solid at the back.
