Liverpool are 3/4 to win the leg even though they lost here in the group stages and Galatasaray have a fearsome home record - losing just twice in 46 home games and going 10 unbeaten in Champions League knockout ties in their home stadium, which includes a 5-2 thumping of Juventus in the play-off round.

Considering all that, 16/5 for a home win against a Liverpool side with plenty of well-publicised flaws looks pretty generous. And the way Galatasaray won the last meeting in September was exactly how Arne Slot's side have had trouble, the hosts sitting deep and frustrating the visitors after scoring an early penalty to win 1-0.

A similar approach this time brings the 3/1 draw into play - although Liverpool haven't drawn a single one of their last 29 Champions League games they'll take one here - and Galatasaray will know going for another shootout isn't the best tactic against the Reds. I can see this first leg ending level.

Atalanta v Bayern Tip - Diaz the danger in 5/1 Bet Builder

Atalanta pulled off a minor miracle to send Borrusia Dortmund packing in the play-offs, courtesy of a 98th-minute penalty amid some pure chaos in the second leg. They're 10/3 underdogs though against Bayern Munich - with the German giants, who've won six in a row scoring 20 goals, 4/7 to grab a first-leg lead.

There's an injury doubt over Harry Kane which should be monitored as with 33 goal involvements in 33 Champions League games for Bayern he'd obviously be a big loss - but Atalanta haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their nine games in the knockout stages so scoring shouldn't be a problem.

With or without Kane, Luis Diaz is the anytime goalscorer shout at 13/8 as five of his last seven Champions League goals have come on the road, so we'll back him to bag in an away win that's a little tighter than usual given Atalanta's UCL games average the lowest goals per match of anyone left in the competition (2.7).

Atletico v Spurs Tip - A handy home win

I'm still trying to get my head around Spurs finishing fourth in the league stage, but sitting just one point off the relegation zone after five straight defeats surely their mystifying European form will end against experienced Champions League campaigners Atletico - who've never lost a home knockout game in 19 under Diego Simeone.

And with Atleti scoring 15 goals in four straight home wins it's hard to make any kind of case for 5/1 underdogs Tottenham beyond the hosts just overlooking the Premier League strugglers. Stranger things have happened but it would be wildly unexpected for anything other than a decent home win - although Atleti's pretty leaky defence this season will always give Spurs a chance of scoring.

Spurs have also scored in eight of their last nine defeats.

Newcastle v Barcelona Tip - Back 5/1 Lamine Yamal special

Anything like the 2-1 Barcelona win here in September will make this another great occasion at St James' Park, where Barca are favourites but odds against at 5/4 - with Newcastle 15/8 but having that home crowd behind them and Eddie Howe having made a few changes for the FA Cup defeat to Man City.

Expect another full-blooded effort from the Magpies and while Barca have scored in 27 of 28 UCL matches they've gone 11 without keeping a clean sheet, so both sides should score even if there may be more fouls than shots on target. A score draw here at 10/3 should not be ruled out.

I like few player props in terms of fouls here, Joelinton giving them away and Anthony Gordon winning them in particular, but preference goes on this Sportsbook special for Lamine Yamal to have 1+ shot on target & be fouled 2+ times in the first half at 5/1.

Yamal didn't play in the league game here and you know Newcastle will target him nice and early, but he's so talented and with 22 shots (8 on target) in six UCL games this season he's well capable of breaking free from that close attention. He's also been fouled 14 times and given how every big European game has gone so far at St James' Park they'll be flying in at the youngster from the start.

Since there's a promotion on for Bet Builders and Accas here's the pick of the three match results on Tuesday's games - as I fancy a draw could happen at St James' Park but it's the least strongest fancy of the three. Atleti and Bayern are no-brainers and I just think Liverpool will be happy enough to get back to Anfield all square.

So those three results makes it around a 7/1 treble suggestion for you.
