Turkish media claim Man Utd met Montella to replace Ten Hag | OneFootball

Turkish media outlet A Spor claims Vincenzo Montella is one of the leading candidates to replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United. Red Devils directors are said to have already met the Italian tactician.

Former Italian striker Montella has emerged as a leading candidate to replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.

According to a report from Turkish media A Spor, the English club directors have already met Aeroplanino, who is currently in charge of the Turkish national team.

Montella, a former Italy striker, has already coached Roma, Sampdoria and Fiorentina in Serie A.

He was Mohamed Salah’s first coach in Italy’s top flight.

The Egypt international shone at Fiorentina under the Italian tactician in the second part of the 2015-16 campaign, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.

Montella was appointed coach of Turkey’s national team in October 2023. Since then, the team has won nine out of 17 games, drawn three, and lost five.
