Two Barcelona stars to return for Elche clash | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona are set to welcome both Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo back into the fold for their upcoming meeting with Elche.

This comes amid confirmation that both have now received the medical green light.

Amid the ongoing injury crisis in Catalunya’s capital, frontman Lewandowski and midfielder Olmo provided manager Hansi Flick with a rare reason to smile this week.

As much came upon the two players, fresh off respective hamstring and calf injuries, returning to group activities at the Ciutat Esportiva.

It had since not been entirely clear whether the pair would be called up to face Elche this weekend, with the Barcelona medical team understandably keen not to take any unnecessary risks.

As alluded to above, though ‘Lewa’ and Olmo will indeed be at the disposal of boss Hansi Flick on Sunday.

As per a report from Blaugrana insider Javier Miguel of Diario AS, the two players have been cleared for competitive action.

It now remains to be seen if either is considered well enough to feature from the off…
