A pair of La Liga rivals are expressing an interest in the signing of an up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at Real Madrid.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Diario AS, who point towards Víctor Muñoz as the player in question.
Winger Muñoz emerged onto the first-team picture at Real Madrid last season, managing a pair of La Liga appearances after catching the eye of Carlo Ancelotti and his staff.
And the 21-year-old’s rise has since only continued under the watch of new Blancos headmaster Xabi Alonso.
Across Real’s three outings at the Club World Cup to date, Muñoz has featured off the bench in two.
In turn, it should perhaps not come as much surprise to hear of interest in the services of the young attacker beginning to spread across Spain.
As per a report from MD, citing AS, representatives from both Osasuna and RCD Mallorca have already made contact with Muñoz’s entourage this summer.
As much came with a view to making clear ‘that he would be an important part of their project’.
It now remains to be seen whether either club can do enough to convince Muñoz of the merits of leaving the Santiago Bernabéu behind over the months ahead.
