Two managers, father and son, sacked by their Greek clubs after defeats

Giannis Petrakis, 65 years old, and his son Giorgios, 37, were dismissed from their respective positions just a few hours apart, after their teams conceded a total of 11 goals over the weekend.

Giannis was the first to lose his job on Sunday, after his team, Larissa, was thrashed 5-2 at home by local rivals Volos on Saturday.

Hours later, his son, Giorgios, was dismissed by Panetolikos after an even worse defeat: 6-0 against Levadiakos. It was the most humiliating loss in the 99-year history of the club from the city of Agrinio.

Larissa, Greek champions in 1988, currently sit in 12th place in the Super League 1, which has 14 teams. Panetolikos are in 13th.
