Two sources are now stating that a deal is close for a new Chelsea transfer saga that has been ongoing this week.
Chelsea are getting pretty busy in the market now as we enter the final six weeks of the summer transfer window with plenty of jobs to do.
If you looked at Chelsea’s to-do list right now you can imagine that it is still probably very long with lots to get through, especially outgoing deals.
One outgoing deal they want to do is move Carney Chukwuemeka on from the club, but it now looks like any move to Dortmund is not happening. However, he has now become involved in a potential swap deal with RB Leipzig that will see Xavi Simons go the other way to Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, another German club, Bayer Leverkusen could give Raheem Sterling a route out of Chelsea with interest coming in from them, as well as Serie A giants Juventus, who are also apparently keen on the Blues winger.

Renato Veiga looks like he could soon be joining Atletico Madrid, with Marca reporting that Atlético Madrid are close to finalising the signing of Renato Veiga from Chelsea. Only minor details remain!
Other sources are backing this up, although one is not quite so sure that it is as close as that just yet.
Mundo Deportivo report that Atlético Madrid have made significant progress in recent hours toward signing Renato Veiga. A deal is now close, but they will not reach the €40m figure requested by Chelsea.
So let’s see if they can get that fee agreed because that will be the most important thing to get done at this stage of the deal, but it does appear that it’s close.
