Twelve years after their last appearance, Australia is back in the final stage of the U20 World Cup. The Asian champions are aiming to make a splash in a challenging Group D alongside Italy, Argentina, and Cuba.
- Australia hasn’t played in a final stage since Turkey 2013.
- The Socceroos reached the semi-finals in Portugal in 1991 and on home soil in 1993.
Australia qualified for the final stage after winning the AFC U-20 Asian Cup.
