Unai Simon was named the best goalkeeper of the 2026 World Cup.
Spain beat Argentina 1-0 after extra time in Sunday’s final at MetLife Stadium near New York.

La Roja conceded only one goal across eight matches at the tournament.
According to L'Équipe, Simon stressed the accolade was a collective achievement.
He said that if every pair of gloves he wore during the World Cup could speak, they would say they did not have much work to do.
