Underrated Chelsea player now rated higher than Moises Caicedo on the season | OneFootball

Ask most Blues fans which of their players has been the best of the bunch this season and they’ll probably say Moises Caicedo. He’s really been exceptional for Enzo Maresca’s team.

But his red card against Arsenal last weekend did his average rating on stats sites some serious damage, and he’s plunged to 13th in the league by average rating according to WhoScored.

Underrated Chelsea star keeps quietly impressing

There is only one Chelsea player above him, and only one in the top 10 – Trevoh Chalobah. The central defender is perennially underrated, and this just proves it. Quietly operating without much fuss, he’s been the 10th best rated player in the league this season, with an average rating of 7.18/10.

We’ve always been Chalobah fans, and this season he’s continued to remind everyone why he’s repeatedly been able to force his way into our first team after multiple freeze-outs.

A lot of the team’s defensive issues have come from endless flux at the back, and it’s clear how important Chalobah’s partnership with Wesley Fofana is. when the two play together, we actually look solid.

You can see why there will be a lot of interest in the 26 year old when Chelsea’s sporting directors finally achieve their long held dream of cashing in on him.
