Manchester United are being linked with Wolves pair Sam Johnstone and Mateus Mane, while Aston Villa assess midfield and goalkeeper options.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, United are said to be leading the chase for the 18-year-old Mane if he leaves this summer, after talk of a possible reunion with goalkeeper Johnstone.

Wolves head coach Rob Edwards has already said Mane will stay with the club in the Championship, and the player has echoed that stance.

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly tabled an offer worth £14.7 million including add-ons for former Wolves defender Bastien Meupiyou, now at Portuguese side Alverca.

Wolves have a low-cost buy-back clause but are not expected to activate it. Their sell-on terms would first repay the £4.2 million they paid to sign him, then deliver 50 per cent of any profit, so a transfer could bring a windfall.

Villa are said to be in contract talks with Lamare Bogarde. The 22-year-old has impressed under Unai Emery and is attracting interest, including from Brighton, despite his current deal running to 2028.

With Emi Martinez linked with a move away, Villa have also been credited with interest in PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, with Spurs likewise mentioned as potential suitors this summer.
