Uruguay's delegation faced a major delay leaving Cancun, Mexico, for the United States on the eve of their World Cup opener.
According to AUF TV, the plane due to take the squad from Mexico to the United States was rejected over an administrative issue. Telemundo reported the players waited at their hotel, then left by coach for Cancun airport to board another aircraft that met US requirements, suggesting a solution had been found.

Uruguay are now expected to reach at 19:00 on Sunday, much later than planned.
Marcelo Bielsa and one player are scheduled to hold a news conference at 20:00.
Their match against Saudi Arabia in Miami is set for midnight between Monday and Tuesday.
