Valencia’s small shareholders have condemned a 26/27 season-ticket price rise and a cut in their discount from 10 per cent to five per cent.
In a statement, the Asociación del Pequeño Accionista del Valencia CF (APAVCF) called the change a mistake that harms supporters who are also part-owners.
The reduction lacks justification, as shareholder-season-ticket holders show extra commitment and should be recognised, particularly after years of proven loyalty.
APAVCF is asking the club to restore the 10 per cent discount as a fair acknowledgment of their dual status as fans and owners.
Across 25 years of meetings with successive boards, the association has sought to protect this group. The latest meeting did not address the cut, and the decision came without prior discussion.
The financial benefit for the club is limited, and the move arrives in Mestalla’s final season. It sends the wrong message to those who have kept faith by holding shares and weakens incentives to remain in the shareholder base.
