We have extraordinary news for the entire Rojiblanca Nation, as this Monday saw the official announcement of something that fills us with pride: Valeria Alvarado, midfielder for Chivas Femenil, has been called up to play in the U-17 World Cup with El Tri.
Trained in the Rojiblanca youth academy and already with minutes under her belt in the top flight, Alvarado is one of 21 players called up by Miguel Gamero for the World Cup, which will be played in Morocco from October 17 to November 8. Mexico's Under-17 team will begin its participation in the competition on October 18 against North Korea, and will then face the Netherlands and Cameroon on October 21 and 24, respectively.
Valeria Alvarado is a talented 17-year-old midfielder from Tepic, Nayarit. She has played in several preparatory tournaments for the Rojiblanca youth team, and just a couple of weeks ago she made her debut in the Liga MX Femenil, playing the full 90 minutes in Chivas' victory over Xolas de Tijuana.
Good luck, Valeria! You are a source of pride for the Guadalajara Femenil youth team.
