Leicester have been handed a double boost before Saturday’s M69 Derby, with Jannik Vestergaard fit and Boubakary Soumare back in contention. The trip to Coventry comes with only a small injury list.
According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, Vestergaard rolled his ankle during the FA Cup win at Cheltenham, causing swelling, but assessments showed no damage and he trained this week. He is available for the CBS Arena.
Soumare could feature for the first time since late November after a knee issue. He is now available for selection and adds options in midfield. No fresh problems have been reported.
The absentees are Victor Kristiansen, Harry Souttar and Aaron Ramsey, all recovering but still weeks from returning.
Harry Winks is unlikely to be called up as he is set for a January exit. Abdul Fatawu, rested at Cheltenham, is expected to return. Vestergaard will also challenge Ben Nelson and Caleb Okoli for a starting place.
