Jannik Vestergaard has returned to light training after a hernia operation, joining Aaron Ramsey and Harry Souttar back in sessions at Seagrave. Leicester face QPR on Saturday with no fresh injury concerns.

According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, Gary Rowett said Vestergaard completed 25 minutes of work on Thursday and stressed that competitive action will follow only after sufficient training time. Vestergaard has missed the last eight games.

Rowett does not imagine Ramsey will be in contention for the next two fixtures, suggesting the period after the international break is more likely. He called that his assumption and said he would consult the medical department.

With Souttar out for over a year, Rowett said the staff must be mindful so players are available and able to do themselves justice. He emphasised making sensible decisions for the needs of the players.

Vestergaard was a regular under Cifuentes but his route back may be tougher now. Caleb Okoli and Ben Nelson have started every game under Rowett, while Jamaal Lascelles has been unable to break into the starting 11 since January.

Only two players are currently not in training, goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and left-back Victor Kristiansen.
