Vic Albuquerque reaches 250 games for Corinthians, honoured by the club

Corinthians' victory over Gotham FC, from the United States, in the semifinal of the FIFA Champions Cup, was marked not only by the historic result in the Women's Club World Cup but also by an important individual achievement. The match represented Vic Albuquerque's 250th game wearing the black and white jersey.

The milestone was celebrated by Corinthians on their official social media, highlighting the athlete's journey with the Timão mantle. In a post, the club praised the player's dedication and commitment throughout the seasons she has defended the Brabas.

Vic entered the field at the 44th minute of the second half, replacing Jaqueline. With only a few minutes in action, the number 17 did not have enough time to directly influence the course of the match but remains available for the tournament's final, scheduled for next Sunday (01), against Arsenal, from England.

The midfielder joined Corinthians in 2019, after a stint with Audax, at just 21 years old. In her early years at the club, she quickly established herself as one of the key players in the squad, maintaining an average of nearly half a goal per game. At the end of 2021, Vic transferred to Madrid CFF, in Spain, returning to Parque São Jorge after six months to continue her journey in women's black and white football.

Throughout her time at Corinthians, Vic Albuquerque has impressive numbers: 121 goals scored, 18 titles won, and 250 matches played. With this milestone, she ranks fourth in the list of players with the most games for the club, behind only Gabi Zanotti, Paulinha who left Timão at the end of last season, and Grazi, retired since 2023.
