Switzerland international Ardon Jashari has arrived to begin his medical with Milan after the Rossoneri finally reached an agreement with Club Brugge for a permanent transfer at a total cost of €37m.

The 23-year-old, who has been on Milan’s radar for most of the summer transfer window, arrived in Italy late on Tuesday evening to begin the formalities of his move to San Siro.

His journey over to Italy came after an agreement that was reached earlier in the day for a permanent transfer worth an initial €34m with up to €3m in bonuses.

He is currently undergoing his medical, and is then expected to complete the signing of his contract at the club’s headquarters once the physical assessment is finished.

Jashari’s arrival means that new Rossoneri head coach Massimiliano Allegri has brought in an entire new midfield this summer, with the previous arrivals of Italy international Samuele Ricci and former Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric, softening the blow of Tijjani Reijnders’s departure for Manchester City earlier this summer.

At a total cost of €37m, Jashari is set to become the most expensive Serie A signing of the summer transfer window, surpassing the €31m that Napoli spent to sign Sam Beukema from Bologna.
