Croatian legend scores at 40 to seal vital win at San Siro
Croatian icon Luka Modric opened his goal account for AC Milan on Saturday striking in the 2nd half to secure 1 - 0 victory over Bologna in the Serie A third round clash at San Siro.
The 40 year old midfielder who joined Milan this summer after ending his glittering spell with Real Madrid, proved decisive once again.
In the 61 minute, Alexis Saelemaekers broke free on the right before cutting the ball back for Modric who rifled home low right footed effort past Polish keeper Lukasz Skorupski.
The goal marked Modric’s first in the Rossoneri shirt having already registered assist in last week’s victory over Lecce. More impressively, he entered the Serie A record books as the 6th oldest scorer in league history at 40 years & 5 days.
