Manchester City’s Ruben Dias and Maya Jama found themselves caught-up in a car pursuit from paparazzi this week, the pair revealed on social media.

The Portugal international central defender has been enjoying a few days of sanctioned time off from Manchester City duties this week as Pep Guardiola looks to get the most out of the free weeks between competitive action.

That break comes ahead of the FA Cup Final, which will be Manchester City’s first and final chance of major silverware this season, and an opportunity to add some much-needed gloss to an otherwise-disappointing campaign.

For Ruben Dias, the season has been far from straight forward himself, battling fitness and injury problems during the midway point of the campaign and leaving Pep Guardiola’s defensive options largely limited.

Off the field, things have been much better on a personal note for Dias, who has found himself dating Love Island host and renowned presenter Maya Jama, with the pair recently spotted and snapped on a lunch date in London.

Now, as revealed on Jama’s Instagram story this week, both she and the Manchester City star found themselves at the centre of a chase from a ‘van full’ of paparazzi, believed to be in central London.

A report from The Sun newspaper detailed the pair’s waterside lunch date with Manchester City’s vice-captain said to have at one point reached over and kissed Maya Jama on the hand, with the pair later spotted leaving the restaurant holding hands.

An onlooker told the newspaper of the pair’s time at The Summerhouse seafood restaurant, “Maya and Ruben couldn’t keep their hands to themselves over some food and ice cream. They flirted for hours.”

Ruben Dias and Manchester City have returned to full first-team training this week to finalise their preparations for the FA Cup Final this weekend, when the Portugal international will return to London this time alongside teammates to take on Crystal Palace at Wembley.
