Juventus defender Nicolò Savona is ‘ready and determined’ to join Nottingham Forest as he flies out for his medical tests this morning.

Juventus confirmed an agreement with Nottingham Forest for Savona on Thursday, just after the Champions League draw.

As reported by Ilbianconero.com, the Italian defender is flying to England from the Linate Airport in Milan this morning to undergo medical tests with Forest and sign his contract with the English club.

Savona is a product of the Juventus academy and made his debut in Serie A last season.

“Surely I’m sorry, but I want to thank Juventus and the entire staff, my teammates and the fans because Juventus will always be my home,” he said.

Savona said he didn’t talk to any other Italian player in the Premier League, such as Riccardo Calafiori, but added: “I’m ready and determined” to join Nottingham Forest.
