Chelsea are back in this! Frustrated by going 2-0 down, the Blues roared back into the game with a superb counter finished off by Cole Palmer.
Moises Caicedo won the ball in midfield and released his teammate, with Bayern high up the pitch. Palmer does what he does best – carrying the ball a long distance, sliding it out to a teammate, then getting it back to finish perfectly with a crisp first time finish.
It was a goal worthy of this competition, and the least Chelsea deserve for a strong first half performance which certainly didn’t merit going in 2-0 down at half time.
Joao Pedro was taken out by Jonathan Tah as he tried to join the break, but only a yellow was given. We’re going to want to take another look at that one before we get too annoyed.

What a return to Champions League football this has been for Chelsea.
Cole Palmer is finally doing his thing on the stage he deserves to be on. The guy is just class. The way he makes finishes like this one, pinged into the top corner first time on the run, is just outrageous. It’s as cool as his effort against Brentford at the weekend.
Chelsea are showing they’re really in this game, and this goal should bring them so much belief. Bayern are defensively vulnerable, and we look good against teams who are willing to push forward. The important thing now is to get to half time, regroup and work out the best way to hurt our opposition in the second half. This one is far from over.
