Aston Villa have moved up to third in the table after defeating local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers at home.
Wolves may not have won but there were positive signs from Rob Edwards' team who remain anchored at the bottom of the table.
Strand Larsen thought he had put his side ahead early on only for Jhon Arias, in an offside position, to have been in a position in which he blocked the view of Emiliano Martínez.
The big moment of the match came in the 67th minute when John McGinn found Boubacar Kamara who unleashed a superb effort from the edge of the area into the top corner beyond the reach of Sam Johnstone.
Wolves didn't really look like they were going to get back into the game. Although the visitors looked much improved defensively they still lacked the kind of attacking flair that could unlock Villa.
Wednesday's clash at home to Nottingham Forest may be a better opportunity for Wolves to finally get their first win of the season while Villa face a difficult fixture away to Brighton.
