Vini Jr reveals Neymar talks over Ancelotti’s Brazil call-ups and World Cup inclusion

Vini Jr has revealed talks with Neymar about his repeated omission from Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil call-ups before the final World Cup list.

"I always spoke with Neymar. In every call-up he would tell me, 'wow, Ancelotti did not take me again, I am very sad'. But I always said the old man trusted him and that, when it came to the crunch, he would take Ney," he said in an interview with CazéTV.

Despite not yet playing under Ancelotti for Brazil, Neymar has been named in the World Cup squad and will link up with Vini Jr as the Seleção chase a sixth title.

The called-up players reported on Wednesday, 27, at Granja Comary in Rio de Janeiro to prepare for Sunday’s friendly against Panama at the Maracanã.

Brazil v Panama kicks off at 18h30, Brasília time, at the Maracanã. The match will be shown on Rede Globo and on SporTV.
