Real Madrid bounced back to winning ways on Saturday with a 4-0 win over Osasuna, but that won't be the main talking point for Carlo Ancelotti.
Scorers: Vinícius 34', 61', 69', Bellingham 42'
It was a night of mixed emotions at the Santiago Bernabéu as Los Blancos dominated the pitch but had three injured stars.
The night started frustratingly when Rodrygo was forced off in tears with a quad injury 20 minutes into the game after just returning from a hamstring issue.
Seven minutes later, the stretcher was introduced for Éder Militão, who recently recovered from tearing his ACL. Reports suggest the Brazilian could have the same issue.
Joy returned to the Bernabéu when Vinícius Júnior cruised past Alejandro Catena in the box and rifled home the opener.
Jude Bellingham then finally scored his first of the season after a long ball over the top from Raul Asencio found the Englishman, who chipped home.
Madrid's poor injury luck, however, then struck again. Lucas Vazquez was the next to depart the pitch with a hip issue.
Osasuna could only watch the ball move between white kits; the same occurred in the match's second half. Madrid registered 18 shots to one for the visitors.
The third goal arrived when Andriy Lunin sent a brilliant long ball over the visiting defence. It found Vinícius again, who beat Jesús Areso for pace and rounded Sergio Herrera for 3-0.
A late scramble at the back then allowed Brahim Diaz to tee up the Brazilian for his hat-trick minutes later. It is his second LaLiga hat-trick and first since 2022.
The result means Real Madrid sit six points behind leaders Barcelona and Osasuna sit fifth.
