Vinícius Jr. sends message of support to Barcelona trio Lamine, Raphinha & Ansu | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has on Sunday moved to send a public message of support to a trio of Barcelona attackers.

This comes after the players in question, namely Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Ansu Fati, were subjected to racist abuse during Saturday’s showdown between Spanish football’s two biggest clubs.

Barcelona, when all was said and done, emerged on the right side of a dominant 4-0 triumph in the season’s first edition of El Clásico

The Blaugrana’s historic evening, however, was soured by sections of the home crowd in attendance at the Santiago Bernabéu.

This came as all of the aforementioned Lamine, Raphinha and Ansu were on the receiving end of disgusting racially-motivated abuse.

Both La Liga and Real Madrid have since spoken out on the subject, with an official investigation having been opened by the powers that be in Spain.

And, as alluded to above, a short time ago, these statements were added to by another, on the part of a leading member of the playing setup at Real Madrid.

Taking to his official ‘X’ account on Sunday evening, Vinícius Jr, himself no stranger to racist abuse, put club rivalries to the side, to throw his unwavering support behind Barcelona’s stars:

‘It’s regrettable what happened yesterday at the Bernabéu with racist insults. There is no place for these criminals in our society. All my support to Lamine, Ansu and Raphinha. I know that Madrid and the police will do things to identify and punish the guilty!!’
