The representatives of Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. have moved to firmly shut down any and all claims surrounding an agreement between their client and Premier League champions Arsenal.
Speculation linking attacker Vinícius with a move to North London has of course dominated the headlines across all of Europe over the last week.
Ahead of the expiration of the Brazilian’s contract terms in Spain’s capital in 12 months’ time, Arsenal are understood to have identified Vinícius as a serious market opportunity this summer.
With as much in mind, the Gunners were recently rumoured to have sat down for a round of negotiations with the entourage of the 26-year-old. From here, claims of an agreement on the terms of a contract between the parties quickly followed.
As alluded to above, however, this weekend, these suggestions have been rebuffed. As per a report from Real Madrid insider Jose Felix Diaz, writing for Diario AS:
‘The Brazilian’s agents have denied any agreement with the European runners-up.’
Florentino Pérez and co, all the while, continue to work towards tying their attacking talisman down to a new deal in Madrid.
