The good news keeps coming for Club Guadalajara, and this Sunday brought two more milestones. Rojiblanco forward Vladimir Moragrega officially became Tapatío’s first-ever Golden Boot winner after scoring 10 goals in the Clausura 2026 regular season. In addition, those goals saw him become the all-time leading scorer in Liga de Expansión MX since its creation in 2020.
A native of Ahome, Sinaloa, Moragrega had a standout semester, with his 10 goals in 14 matches translating to a strike every 103 minutes. He also recorded two braces: one against Venados on Matchday 2 and another versus Tlaxcala on Matchday 7, proving decisive in key moments of the tournament.
Moragrega also found the net in eight different matches, with his production split between three goals at home and five away.
He was a consistent presence throughout the regular season, directly contributing to a large portion of the team’s goals and establishing himself as the main attacking reference for the top side of the Cantera Rojiblanca.
His goal against Dorados on the final matchday of the season marked his 52nd in Liga de Expansión MX, allowing him to surpass Luis Razo, who finished with 51, and become the competition’s all-time leading scorer.
His career in this division includes two spells with Atlante, as well as time with Atlético La Paz and Correcaminos, before arriving at Chivas’ affiliate side, where he has recorded 16 goals in 24 matches, with an outstanding scoring rate.
At 27 years old, Vladimir is experiencing the best moment of his career and, with his numbers, consistency, and goal-scoring instinct, he has shown that he continues in his process of consolidation toward the First Division.
Congratulations, Vladimir!
