The Football Association of Wales have confirmed they will play two separate nations on November 28th and December 2nd.

One of the opponents has been confirmed, although the other is yet to be announced.

Head coach Rhian Wilkinson will be determined for Wales to snap their seven-game losing streak ahead of the World Cup qualifiers, which begin next year.

Wales are also without a win in their last 11 games, last claiming victory when they beat the Republic of Ireland last December to qualify for Euro 2025.

Wales to play two friendlies in Spain

The FAW has confirmed that Wales will play Euro 2025 hosts Switzerland in a friendly in Spain on Tuesday, December 2nd.

It will be played at the El Chapin Stadium in Jerez de la Frontera, the home of fourth-tier Spanish side Xerez Deportivo.

A second friendly will be played on November 28th, although Wales are yet to announce the opponents or venue for this match.

Their opponents won’t be Spain, who are playing the two legs of their Women’s Nations League final against Germany over both dates.

Germany host Spain on November 28th, before facing the World Cup holders play host on December 2nd.

Wales and Switzerland last met in a World Cup qualifying play-off final match in October 2022. Switzerland won 2-1 thanks to a late goal by Fabienne Humm.

Wales keen to end losing streak before World Cup qualifiers

Wales last avoided defeat in any game before competing at Euro 2025, their first-ever major championship.

Wilkinson’s side lost games to England, France and the Netherlands in a ‘group of death’ at the European Championship in Switzerland.

Last month, Wales lost 2-1 at home to Australia, in Jess Fishlock’s final international match. They then suffered a painful 5-2 defeat to Poland at Rodney Parade.

Wales also lost Nations League games to Italy and Denmark, during the final international break before the Euros.

They last avoided defeat in a 1-1 draw against Sweden in April, while they are 11 matches without a win. Their last victory came in a 2-1 triumph against the Republic of Ireland on December 3rd, 2024, to qualify for Euro 2025.

Despite their tough results in 2025, Wales will fancy their chances of making the World Cup qualifying playoffs, after the European group stage qualifying draw placed them with Czechia, Albania and Montenegro.
