Forward Watson was also playing her football in the second tier before the winter break with Southampton. After struggling for game time at St Mary’s Stadium, Chelsea have recalled the player from her loan spell and she will now spend the remainder of the campaign playing her football in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division with Ipswich Town. Watson did not feature for Southampton in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup third round therefore she may be eligible to play in Ipswich Town’s fourth round tie at Manchester City on Sunday.

Further Chelsea squad news is expected to be revealed by the club in due course.
