Barcelona are well and truly in the thick of things with regards to the pre-season friendlies. Their game against FC Seoul is being played with some intensity, and the club leads 3-2 going into the halftime break.
Lamine Yamal, who recently penned a new bumper contract with the Catalan club and took over the #10 jersey, netted a brace in the first 45 minutes against the South Korean side. The Spaniard looked extremely sharp from minute 1 and was Barcelona’s most dangerous player.
Coming to the goal, Raphinha found Olmo in a pocket of space in midfield, and the Spaniard played a delightful through ball to Lamine, who was on the run. The teenager took a touch to cut in on to his favoured left foot, sat down the defender and blasted the ball into the far corner.

The goal also marked Olmo’s 2nd assist of the game. The ex-Leipzig man had a very good half but would feel aggrieved as he should have found himself on the scoresheet. Regardless, he managed to fashion two important chances for his team.
Flick is now likely to make changes in the 2nd half to give the rest of the squad a run out. The first half was a decent display from what was arguably Barcelona’s full-strength XI, but defensively, there were still question marks that the German coach would want to address.
Ultimately, the biggest talking point of the first half against Seoul is likely to be Lamine Yamal’s sensational performance. The new Barcelona #10 has well and truly arrived, and hopefully, this is just the start of many more to come.
