The Madrid derby once again proved to be more than just a football match, as Atletico Madrid handed Real Madrid a harsh lesson with a convincing display.

The exchange was caught by cameras. During the argument, Vinicius accused Koke of constantly revealing their on-pitch conversations to the press.

“You always talk to the press, everything I say to him he tells the press,” the Madrid forward complained.

The situation nearly boiled over, with Kylian Mbappe and Robin Le Normand forced to step in and separate the pair before matters got out of hand.

But Koke was not done stirring the pot. As the cameras showed, the Atletico captain cleverly turned the conversation towards Mbappe, knowing it would sting.

Koke pointed towards the French superstar and signalled “the best,” to which Vinicius shot back confidently: “Yes, yes, but he plays with me. We’re going to win everything.”

However, Koke then delivered the cutting remark that truly lit the fire, making a hand-to-mouth gesture before saying: “He eats your toast.”

Meanwhile, the match was packed with tension beyond the Vinicius-Koke confrontation.

Giuliano Simeone also sparked controversy, with Rodrygo accusing him of “colluding” with a ball boy to waste time late in the game.
