Chelsea will be hunting down a number of possible new transfer targets to bring to the club at the end of the season, and I am expecting it to be pretty busy at the club in terms of buying and selling players, especially taking into account that they basically did nothing at all in the January transfer window.

Chelsea have been linked with Werder’s centre-back Karim Coulibaly.

Niemeyer, has now responded to the speculation, telling Kicker [via Bull News]:

“We are aware that there is movement regarding this personnel matter, but there is currently no indication of what the next steps might be or whether this will already happen in the summer.”

He added:

“It is, of course, clear that a player with this profile attracts great interest and a lot of attention.”

In other news today…

There’s also a load more speculation around the future of Cole Palmer, with the Manchester United noise just not disappearing. Palmer, like Fernandez, is obviously pretty disgruntled with things at the club right now.

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has joined in on that debate as well and give his opinion on what Palmer needs to do to become successful.
