We need to talk about Kieran and Anthony

In this summer’s transfer market, there will be outgoing players to boost Newcastle United’s PSR/FFP position and help to bring on new signings, with Kieran Trippier one of those widely tipped for an exit.
I don’t agree with this at all.
I say that, instead of Kieran Trippier leaving St James’ Park, he should be encouraged to take his full coaching badges in order to eventually replace Eddie Howe, when the time comes in the future that he will leave us.
There is nobody, in my humble opinion, more qualified and experienced within our club to take on where Eddie leaves off.
Kieran Trippier is a natural leader, has time and again showed true leadership both on the pitch and in the dressing room. Quite simply I cannot think of a more worthy successor. His long career with club and country has also seen a La Liga winners medal, as well as playing in the finals of both the Champions League and European Championships.
Now we must talk about Anthony.
I don’t know what you think of Anthony Gordon’s performances since his time out due to suspension and injury. but I think he is a shadow of his former self.
He has been outplayed and outclassed by Harvey Barnes and since he came back, seems to be reverting to his old Evertonian self by diving.
Relying only on his pace and clearly exhibiting that he and Barnes cannot play effectively in the same team.
So if Liverpool or any of the so-called “Top Six” want him, his transfer fee alone could fund Newcastle United getting our top targets of Guehi and Mbeumo, leaving us a healthy budget to bring in another two to three players take us to the next level.
