Rayan Cherki says the only thing on his mind is trying to winning every game until the end of the season.
City have five matches of the season, including the FA Cup final, remaining beginning on Saturday at 17:30 (UK) when Brentford come to the Etihad Stadium.
We are currently five points off the top of the Premier League with a game in hand on Arsenal and victory would see us close the gap on the Gunners ahead of their trip to West Ham on Sunday.
And Cherki says the players are determined to win all our remaining matches to see where it leaves us in the table.
“It’s focusing on every game,” he said. “To be determined every second of the week, every moment we’re on the pitch, so that we can improve and be even better at the weekend.
“We’re taking match after match, we’re determined and the aim is to win as many games as possible. We know that the Premier League is not an easy league. It’s complicated and so that means what we never give up and the aim is to get as many points as we can between now and the end of the season.
“As long as there’s hope, there’s life, so we’re not going to give up. I think you have to win every game, try to get as many clean sheets as possible, score as many goals as possible.
“We have a very important game on Saturday. The only thing on our minds is victory. We’re still in the same frame of mind we’ve been in since the start of the season. Our mindset hasn’t changed since the Club World Cup.”

Cherki has lit up the Premier League in his first season since joining in the summer from his boyhood club Lyon with 10 goals and 14 assists in all competitions.
And the French international says he has enjoyed working and learning from City boss Pep Guardiola as they share a similar footballing philosophy.
“It’s true that working with Pep is extraordinary because he has a vision of football that is very similar to mine,” he said.
“Always having the ball, always wanting to attack, always wanting to create. So, it’s really extraordinary to work with him.
“Pep gives us a lot of freedom to express everything we want, all our talents on the pitch.
“Defensively, we try to produce a team effort and then offensively, we try to express our talents all together, so that we can score as many goals as possible and simply be the best on the pitch.”
