FC Barcelona were unable to take any point from their game against Alaves last night, and their loss in that match means the Blaugrana team would no longer be able to achieve its objective of reaching 100 league points this season.
While this is not really anything significant in the grand scheme of things, this situation was still disappointing for the Catalan side. As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the midfielder Dani Olmo was one of the players who experienced this disappointment and who also aired it while talking to the media after the match.
Talking about the loss to Alaves, the Spaniard said:
“We’re not happy with this match. We tried, but it wasn’t to be. The lack of concentration in the final minute of the first half was the only way they could hurt us. We tried, but we’re not satisfied.”
“That’s not an excuse. We had another clear objective, which was to win everything until the end and reach 100 points. I wanted it, and so did the team, but in the end it won’t be possible. Now we want to win the two matches that are left.”
Meanwhile, the midfielder was still keen to win the upcoming league game against Real Betis:
“Absolutely. It’s another objective we want to achieve, and we want to celebrate the last home match with a victory.”
Hopefully, this will be the case, and Barcelona will be able to enjoy another last win at the Spotify Camp Nou before saying goodbye to the season.
