Ipswich Town winger Wes Burns scored against Southampton in the 2-2 draw and has issued a demand ahead of QPR's visit to Portman Road...
Wes Burns scored his second goal of the season for Ipswich Town in the 2-2 draw with Southampton, with the Tractor Boys heading into their final day game against QPR in second.
Kieran McKenna's side could not all but confirm promotion by claiming victory, but Ipswich Town have knocked Southampton out of the running for second and narrowed it down to Middlesbrough and Millwall instead.
It was Wes Burns' goal which opened the scoring before Ryan Manning's equaliser made things interesting at the end of the game. Cyle Larin then scored a wonderful goal to make Ipswich sweat but Jack Clarke, once again, saved the day from the bench.
Not only did he score the equaliser but the winger almost won it late on via a left-footed pile driver which Daniel Peretz had to tip round the post. It sets up a thrilling final day for Ipswich at Portman Road, who know a win over QPR will see them finish second in the Championship.

McKenna's men beat Huddersfield Town at Portman Road two seasons ago to secure second on final day, with a repeat potentially on the cards in 2025/26 to avoid the play-offs.
A draw could be enough against Julien Stephan's side but Millwall are at home to already relegated Oxford United, meaning a victory is likely to be required for McKenna, Burns, and co. on Saturday.
Ipswich have lost just one home game all season, with 47 points from 22 games the second best record behind Coventry City. QPR are 15th in the away table with six wins and seven draws from their 22 matches.
Burns is one of the few players to have won promotion already with Ipswich, with the Welshman knowing what it takes and sending a message to supporters ahead of QPR's visit. Speaking via TWTD, he explained his feelings.
He said: "Everyone’s going to be super nervous and the start of the game is going to be quite tense. Everyone knows what’s at stake and everyone knows what we need to do.
"From us as players to the fans, they’ve been brilliant with us all season. Just stick with us on Saturday. There’s one game to go, we know what the ultimate goal is.
"We know what we need to do, and if we play anything we played [against Southampton], the football always takes care of itself."

Burns has missed most of this season and much of last season due to an ACL issue, but he is perhaps the player who symbolises their rise the most under McKenna.
The 31-year-old is in his fifth year with Ipswich, with the first two coming in League One and the last three in the Championship and Premier League.
Not many players can say they have featured for one club across three leagues.
Promotion will be special for the Ipswich supporters no matter what, but also extra special for Burns after so much recent heartache with injuries. He will hope to play a big part on final day, with the supporters behind him in doing so.
