In the week leading up to the resumption of Serie A and the San Siro match against Chivu’s Inter, some bad news has arrived for Roma and their fans.

During Brazil’s friendly against France in the USA, Wesley was forced to be substituted due to a muscle problem.

The tests performed this morning at Trigoria confirmed what was feared: the Giallorossi’s number 43 has a muscle tear in his right thigh, and his recovery time is estimated at around four weeks.

This isn’t the first international break that has brought a bitter cost to the Brazilian: the first time, in September, he returned to Rome with a muscle overload, while the second time, in October, he missed the match due to a contusion.

The former Flamengo player will therefore have to sit out some crucial league matches for the Rome-based team, which, after the big match against Inter, will have two home games against Pisa and then Atalanta.

The Brazilian will try to return to action for the away match at the Dall’Ara against Bologna on April 25th.

However, a full recovery is more likely for the match at the Olimpico in early May against Vanoli’s Fiorentina.
