West Brom have stepped up preparations for a bank holiday double header, with £3.3m signing Tammer Bany back involved, Karlan Grant nearing a return and Callum Styles training despite a Hungary call-up.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Wrexham visit The Hawthorns on Friday before Albion travel to relegation rivals Blackburn on Monday, as James Morrison has worked with a largely present squad during the break, with only a handful on international duty.

Albion’s form has improved, two wins and two draws have moved them four points clear of the drop zone.

Bany has managed only a few late cameos since joining from Rangers more than a year ago, and suffered a setback earlier this season after edging towards a comeback. Images on Instagram showed him alongside Grant during a session.

Grant, sidelined since the draw at Derby earlier this year, is back in training and is set for a mid April return.

Styles has trained with team-mates despite his Hungary call-up. The national side beat Slovenia in a friendly at the weekend and face Greece tonight, but he has not travelled and has remained with Albion.
