West Ham United are weighing up a move for AS Roma striker Artem Dovbyk, according to Calciomercato.
Dovbyk is attracting interest from several clubs, including Leeds United and Besiktas.
The forward had an impressive stint at Girona during the 2023/24 season, finishing as La Liga’s top scorer with 24 goals in 36 appearances.
He helped Girona secure a third-place finish and Champions League football.
Dovbyk’s heroics also earned him a move to Roma, where he scored 17 goals in 45 appearances in his debut campaign.
However, Dovbyk could be on his way out of the Italian capital after just one year, as new Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini is reportedly unconvinced by him.
The Serie A club are seeking around €40 million to part ways with Dovbyk, although he would like to remain at the Stadio Olimpico and is prioritising a return to Spain if he leaves.
Roma have already completed the signing of Evan Ferguson on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, suggesting they are preparing for life without Dovbyk..
The Hammers have sold Mohammed Kudus this summer and are yet to make a decision on Michail Antonio’s future, leaving them short of options in attack.
Blessed with great hold-up play and an eye for goal, a move to West Ham could be just what Dovbyk needs.
