Premier League clubs expected to bid for Man Utd right-back as he enters final year of his contract

West Ham have joined the race for Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they step up transfer plans to further strengthen their defence.

The Hammers have already signed Max Kilman from Wolves for £40million and agreed a loan deal for Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo.

West Ham have work to do on the signing of Todibo, though, as they are yet to agree personal terms with the defender and reports in his native France say he is keen on joining Juventus.

If Todibo does move to West Ham, he will arrive on loan but the deal will have the option to be made permanent next summer for around £27m.

Strengthening their defence is a priority for West Ham and they are in the market for a new right-back after Ben Johnson left for Ipswich.

The Hammers are interested in Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters, but Wan-Bissaka is another target, too.

The 26-year-old is into the final year of his contract at United and they are ready to cash in on him this summer.

Wan-Bissaka is attracting interest from clubs in Turkey, but Premier League sides are now expected to enter the race.

The right-back joined United in 2019 from Crystal Palace in a deal worth £50m, however he has slipped down the pecking order and wants more first-team football.

West Ham are also looking to bolster their attack and they are interested in Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, who could be available for around £15m to £20m.

The 24-year-old, who came through Arsenal’s academy, is open to moving this summer if the right offer presents itself. Nelson has found chances limited at the Gunners and he made just one start in the Premier League last season.
