Hammers need Nayef Aguerd replacement, with Charlie Cresswell also an option and Igor Julio set for Crystal Palace
West Ham have approached Chelsea over a move for Axel Disasi as they target a new centre-back on Deadline Day.
Toulouse defender Charlie Cresswell is also an option for the Hammers, who are set to sell Nayef Aguerd to Marseille for around £20million and want to replace him.
West Ham were interested in Brighton centre-back Igor Julio but he looks set to join Crystal Palace.
Aguerd is discussing personal terms with Marseille and was left out of the West Ham squad for their 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
The 29-year-old started West Ham’s first two Premier League games of the season, but manager Graham Potter admitted he was not in the right frame of mind to play at the City Ground.
“I think that this time of the year, with the window open and things happening late, sometimes it's difficult for players to be able to fully focus on things. So, you get that sometimes,” Potter said.
“But the players that were here today, fully committed, fully with the team. We're just delighted to get the three points.”
Aguerd looks set to be joined at Marseille by West Ham left-back Emerson Palmieri.
Marseille have agreed a fee of under £1m for the 31-year-old, who underwent a medical on Monday morning ahead of signing a two-year deal with the Ligue 1 club.
West Ham last week signed Soungoutou Magassa and Mateus Fernandes to bolster their midfield options.
