The forward has been linked with a move away from the London Stadium.

West Ham may have just made a significant sale, but it appears they could be holding onto some of their stars despite relegation to the Championship.

Mateus Fernandes has completed his £85million move to Tottenham, and there could be more exits, with Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville heavily linked with Premier League moves.

Then there is Taty Castellanos, who produced some stellar performances in the Premier League having signed for the Hammers from Lazio in January.

While many would have been expecting a player of his quality to leave the London Stadium, it appears that he may well be staying put in East London.

Taty Castellanos likely to remain at West Ham but Everton and Fulham lurk

The Irons acquired Taty in the winter window to aid their survival bid, but despite his heroics in front of goal, it was not enough to keep the club safe.

The forward bagged six goals in 18 league appearances for the East London club, including two in the final two games of the season as he demonstrated his goalscoring ability in the Premier League.

There have been reports that former Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is eyeing the Argentinian for AC Milan, with the Italian giants to step up their interest.

However, Claret & Hugh have learned that the 27-year-old is increasingly likely to remain at the London Stadium, having contacted a well-known football agent.

The agent says that West Ham will not sell and have so far only received one offer worth £12.8million, while he adds AC Milan cannot afford the player due to their financial trouble and commitment to other transfers.

Since news broke that the Hammers would likely retain their Taty, Matteo Moretto has reported that Premier League duo Everton and Fulham want the forward too, which may represent a new challenge for the West Ham board.

Taty could be pivotal to Hammers' promotion bid

If West Ham have their team pulled apart, then they will face a tough battle to achieve promotion, but if they retain even a couple of their prized assets, then they are well positioned to challenge for the Championship title.

Not only did Taty enjoy an encouraging end to the season with the Irons, but he has a track record of bagging 10 goals plus in a season across several top-tier divisions.

The 27-year-old has been capped by Argentina, and his movement, aggression and instincts in front of goal would make him one of the best second-tier marksmen, while if Bowen and Summerville were to stay, then he would be guaranteed regular service.

Given that West Ham signed the forward for around £25m, it would be foolish for the club to entertain anything less than that, particularly as he has four years remaining on his contract.
