With Tuur Rommens having made the move from Westerlo to Scottish giants Rangers, the Belgian side have now been in the market for a replacement. According to Sacha Tavolieri, the club have found one in EA Guingamp defender Dylan Ourega. The side are set to bring Ourega to the Pro League on a contract that will run until 2030. He will certainly have to do well to replace Rangers’ new signing Rommens, who was a consistent player during his time at the club.
Ourega began his career in Metz before moving to his current club in 2024 on a free transfer. He made his senior debut in Ligue 2 in that same season, going on to play 15 games with one assist. So far this campaign he has played 20 games in the French second tier, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
Ourega is a year younger than Rangers’ new signing Rommens, who played 79 games for Westerlo across two and a half seasons following his departure from Genk in 2023.
